Meet Dr. Boyles | Dentist in Raleigh NC
Dr. Benjamin B. Boyles is a Raleigh native and a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill where he received a Bachelor of Arts in both Communication Studies and Spanish. After spending three years working with Broadreach, where he taught SCUBA diving to students and led them through life-changing educational adventures in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Egypt, Dr. Boyles began his formal dental education. In 2009, he graduated from the UNC School of Dentistry.
Dr. Boyles has made a significant commitment to continuing education. Specifically, he has focused on dental implants, restorative dentistry, dental materials, cosmetic dentistry, and comprehensive care. Since graduation, Dr. Boyles has amassed over 1,000 education credit hours, well above what is required for the profession.
In 2011, Dr. Boyles received a Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI). Most recently, he received a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a distinction achieved by less than 5% of dentists that honors him as a leader and an example among dentists of the importance of quality continuing dental education to patient care.
In 2011 and 2012, Dr. Boyles served as the editor and as an Executive Board Member with the Raleigh Wake County Dental Society, where he still maintains an active membership. Dr. Boyles is also an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. Additionally, Dr. Boyles is an active participant with the NC Baptist Men’s Dental Ministry, Donated Dental Services and Wake Smiles, both providing dental care to those in need.
In his spare time, Dr. Boyles enjoys reading or being active outdoors. He also loves following UNC athletics, but most importantly, he is fond of spending time with his family. He and his wife Lisa have two daughters and a puggle named Lily.
